OK, where does God’s “Law” fit into the picture? In Mark’s Gospel Jesus addresses this question quite early. In today’s sermon Pastor Scott outlined three aspects of Jesus’ approach to addressing the religious leaders of the day on their perspective and use of ‘the law’. First Jesus gives a warning; then an example from the Old Testament of the Pharisees’ misunderstanding the law; and finally Jesus express the emotion of anger as he sees the consequence of leaders misusing the law and not addressing peoples’ needs.
