The first Sunday of Lent. As we begin this time of reflection and preparation Pastor Dan turned our thoughts to contrast Jesus’ sinlessness with the sinfulness of the Old Testament Israelites as they wandered in the wilderness. They grumbled. They tested God. Contrast that with Jesus being tempted by Satan; Jesus did not grumble or complain. He did not ‘test God’ by throwing himself from the top of the temple. [Link]

Potluck, Prayer and Praise (3-P’s). Hungry? Need to talk to God? Have something for which you just need to praise God? Join the congregation for a time of fellowship, prayer and praise, Sunday March 9, 5:30pm at Graystone Hall. If you can, bring a dish to share, but don’t stay away!
Changed Life Seminar – Saturday March 15. Women of Stonebridge and Toledo, the 34th annual Changed Life Seminar will be this coming Saturday, March 15, 9am – 2:45pm. Kelly Minter is this year’s speaker. Her topic- The Fitting Room: What are YOU wearing? This seminar has proven its value over the years. PCU Pantry in February. One more week for canned fruit. As we approach Lent PCU has asked that we support them with canned meat. Start looking for bargains because our goal is 100 pounds of canned meat! (We had a good start this week!)
