This Week | May 13 – 20

Jesus called his disciples to a mission. God is calling us to a mission today. What is God’s strategy? How does he want us to start? Where? Who will provide for the needs of the mission. Pastor Dan’s sermon addresses these good questions.  Here’s the link if you want to listen. (Sermon link)

Denomination. Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC).

Theology: Reformed, Evangelical, Protestant.

Government or Polity. Presbyterian.

Worship Practice: Our practice may be characterized as blended traditional and  conversational Reformed. The emphasis is on the Bible as the ultimate authority in all matters and services therefore focus on the sermon which is frequently an exposition of part of the Bible. Worship generally features Scripture readings, prayer, confession and pardon, congregational singing of traditional hymns (Watts, Wesley, etc), modern hymns (Getty, Townend) and carefully-chosen modern worship songs (Tomlin, Zschech) with keyboard accompaniment (and occasionally violin, viola or brass) , as well as instrumental and vocal preludes and offertories. The Lord’s Supper, or Communion, is celebrated normally on the first Sunday of each month and is open to all who love and trust in Christ alone for their salvation, who are truly sorry for their sins, and who desire to live in obedience to him as Lord. View a typical order of worship and service bulletin.

Communities served. The greater Toledo area in Northwest Ohio, including residents of Perrysburg, Sylvania, Holland, Maumee, Rossford, Waterville and the Bowling Green area.
