Today (April 13th) was the sixth Sunday in Lent. “Unless a grain of wheat falls in the ground and dies, it abides alone…” This is the paradox that Pastor Dan had as his focus today. Just as the kernel of wheat: if it wants to retain its identity, its essence, it remains simply a seed. But if it ‘dies’ in the soil, it becomes a plant and yields are larger harvest of many seeds. Such was Jesus life, and the final revelation of Jesus; he came to die. The promise for Jesus’ followers: Let go of your life; let to to God, let go of yourself, let go to service. [Link]
