Reaching Others

Personal and financial support for missions and missionaries has been a focus at Stonebridge since the beginning. We are blessed to be called by God, and it is His plan for Christians to share the Gospel with others — here at home and around the world.

Our emphasis of our support has always been three fold reaching out locally and nationally where we could be personally involved, supporting those of our number who are called to go, and supporting outreach of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Though we are aware of so many worthy missions needs, we favor use of our modest resources on a few larger gifts, rather than many smaller ones, all the while praying that we would be wise in our choices.

We support work on five continents in addition to North America. We support individuals, couples, families. Our missionaries work in religious as well as secular settings. We support efforts to evangelize, to train nationals, to build church families. We also strongly encourage our own members to participate through short-term assignments.

Local Outreach Participation

Stonebridge members care about the needs of their community.  Below are some of the practical ways its people volunteer their time, energy and resources in the surrounding community.

Perrysburg Christians United - Perrysburg Christians United is a consortium of 12 Perrysburg churches formed in 1973. The purpose of  Perrysburg Christians United, commonly known as PCU, is to provide for the needs of the community through an active food bank, annual blood drives, crisis assistance, and a Christmas toy  project.  PCU serves individuals and families who live in Northern Wood County, north of State Route 582. Click the link above for more information about PCU.

Stonebridge members bring items from their own pantries to the worship service on Sundays, then gather once a month with members of other churches at the PCU Food Pantry to bag items for distribution.
